Havelock is more than turquoise waters and beautiful beaches. Beyond the shoreline, the island opens into a world of forests, mangroves, wetlands and coastal habitats — alive with birds and the quiet rhythms of nature.

Birdwatching gives you a different way to experience the Andamans. Walk slowly beneath the canopy, listen for a call in the distance, watch the branches move, and let the forest reveal what is often missed when we hurry.

You may encounter birds such as the Andaman Drongo, Andaman Bulbul, Andaman Serpent Eagle, White-headed Starling and Collared Kingfisher.

Beyond the Beach

Most journeys to Havelock begin with the sea. Ours can take you a little further — into the forest.

Here, every walk becomes an opportunity to notice something new: a bird moving quietly through the canopy, a flash of colour among the leaves, or the unmistakable call of a species found nowhere else.

Birdwatching isn’t about how many birds you can tick off a list.

It is about learning to see the island.

Walk the Forest

Explore the quieter side of Havelock, where tropical forest meets the coast.

Listen to the Island

Bird calls, rustling leaves and distant wings become part of the experience.

Look Closer

Take your time. The longer you observe, the more the forest begins to reveal.

Why We Birdwatch

At Andamanica, we believe nature is best experienced slowly.

Birdwatching encourages us to pause, observe and understand the living landscape around us. Every bird is part of a larger ecosystem — connected to the trees, insects, water, forest and sea.

So we don’t simply go looking for birds.

We go looking for stories.

Come for Havelock’s beaches. Walk into its forests. Leave knowing a little more about the wild island in between.
